A A Watson grew up in south-west Scotland before embarking on a successful career in the corporate world. Having travelled extensively for both work and pleasure he has now settled in London where he has been re-discovering his love of art and print making.
His work takes influence from many sources and often combines different genres and techniques. Taking old imagery and combining it with bold colours and strong statements to create something new and contemporary.
His work also displays a dark sense of humour. Using words and phrases depicted in gold leaf to make the viewer smile. To express feelings in a humorous and cathartic way that we can all relate to.
